Strong results at the NCAA Div 1 Championships 
The Vancouver Thunderbirds had two All American finishes at the NCAA Div 1 Championships on June 10-13 in Fayetteville, Arkensas. Kyle Nielsen, a sophomore at the University of Washington, threw 70.56m for a 6th place finish, while Brooke Pighin, also a sophomore at Washington, finished 7th with a throw of 50.53m.

Vancouver Thunderbirds Impress at BC High Schools and 8-9 All-Comers Meet 
The Vancouver Thunderbirds finished with some impressive performances at the recent BC Track and Field High School Championships and the Grade 8-9 All-Comers Meet this past weekend.

Both Ben Daly-Grafstein and Amabel Stokes won an impressive two golds each at the Grade 8-9 All Comers Meet, Ben winning the 100m hurdles in 14.55 and the long jump with a jump of 6.03 meters. Amabel Stokes won the 200m dash in 26.07, won the 400 in 57.67, and placed third in the 100m with a time of 13.12.

Matthew Daly-Grafstein took the gold in the 110 meter hurdles at the High School Championships with a time of 15.35.
